The Future of Remembrance
Innovating how we honor, cherish, and remember our loved ones.
Transforming the Cremation Service Industry
To You,
Hello my name is Anthony Bell. I am a co-founder of Lumen Essence Vessels. We started our journey with an idea, now Invention with Patent, and soon to become a product available for the general public to purchase. Our mission is clear and that is to Introduce Lumen Essence Vessels into the Marketplace as a Product both here in the US and Abroad.
For too long we, as a society have viewed death as a depressing occasion, where many are afraid to deal with it or talk about it. Death should not be a depressing end, but rather a bright new beginning. Cremation Urns are typically used to hold the ashes of the deceased. This practice of cremating the dead and placing the ashes or cremains into an Urn date back as far as 7000 B.C. Several solutions exist for storing the ashes of the deceased after cremation of their remains. Unfortunately, current solutions fail to meet the needs of the market because the ashes may be stored away, hidden from view, or forgotten. Attempts to scatter ashes of a loved one may not always be a viable option due to legal restraints as to where cremains of a loved one may be scattered. Another solution seeks to store the remains of the loved one within a larger structure, such as a mausoleum, with other cremated individuals, but this solution fails to meet market needs because the remains of the loved one are often stored out of sight. Therefore, there currently exists a need in the market for an apparatus that is customizable to fit the needs and wants of a family and the wishes of a loved one.
The Funeral or death service business is a multi-Billion-dollar industry. However, casket burial demand is dwindling compared to cremation options. Cost has been a big factor; the average cost of a funeral is $8 to $10,000.00. State and local regulations regarding available land use is a contributing factor too. In more densely populated cities, the scarcity of land is even more problematic. Considering the cost of a traditional funeral, regulatory, and land scarcity concerns, cremation has become a more viable choice for many.
Cremation services in the US and Abroad is a growing market. In the US the cremation rate in 2025 is projected to be approximately 62% while traditional burial is projected at less than 38%. In Canada, cremation is chosen for approximately 77% of the population, where traditional burial is around 23%. In the United Kingdom, approximately 75-80% of people there are cremated. In 1960 the UK national average rate for cremation was 34% and by 2017 that rate grew to 77%. In Japan more than 95% of families choose cremation.
This knowledge and foresight given sound market trend data is why Lumen Essence Vessels is a great business opportunity. To us its more than a money maker or potential cash-cow business. We believe that memories and the spirit of our departed are precious and timeless. We are hopeful our Invention will be a contribution to society and in the way one’s perception of death and loss is received.
So how do we get there, what’s next ?
We will need to select materials for our Vessels such as type of Glass, tempered and/or crystal or lead crystal, then a Manufacturers cost estimate (economies of scale). This will include engineering work such as final mechanical design, CAD modeling, component and material sourcing, and prototype(s).
At that point we will have more options regarding marketing, sales, and wholesale distribution channels. We may choose to License or Joint Venture with industry leaders such as Funeral Director’s, Exhibitors, even Casket Manufacturers who may want to expand their product line to include our cremation Vessels.
We want to create a Brand, a Lumen Essence Vessel product line unlike any other. We will carefully select Artists to work with us for custom Ornament requests. This will be significant, allowing customers to pick an artist from our select list to custom make their Ornament artwork. We plan to expand our product line to include Holography as outlined in the “The Future” link of this website. This will be a game changer and first of its kind in the Funeral Industry. Just imagine the possibilities, Holography and the impact it will have on families for generations to come.
We need your participation and support, either as a Sponsor, JV partner, Investor, or someone who sees the potential and wants to help us meet our Mission objective, we welcome your participation and help as well. Please share your thoughts via email or contact me directly by phone, both provided in “Our Contact” link. We appreciate your time and interest in Lumen Essence Vessels.
